In this role, you will organize and supervise the daily shift operation of assigned functional areas, such as Goods Inwards, Main Stores, Sub Stores, Tool Stores, Line Maintenance Stores, Outstation Support, Business Support, and Spares Distribution. Your key responsibilities will include shift planning, resource allocation, managing exceptions, and ensuring the efficient flow of materials through the supply chain.
You will oversee a team of resources within the shift of the assigned functional area, managing staff productivity and optimizing material flow to meet departmental targets. Communication with maintenance customers, compliance with SOPs and Engineering Procedures, and identifying opportunities for improvement will also be key parts of your role.
Supervise Daily Operations: Organize and manage the daily shift operations for various functional areas, ensuring an efficient flow of materials.
Team Management: Lead and supervise the shift team, managing productivity and optimizing material flow to meet departmental goals.
Customer Communication: Coordinate with maintenance customers to execute and complete warehouse and logistics tasks effectively.
Operational Meetings: Attend daily meetings to obtain feedback, address stakeholder queries, and ensure service level agreements are met.
Compliance and SOPs: Ensure adherence to departmental Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Engineering Procedure Manuals (EPM).
Report Generation: Generate daily reports on shift performance, task accomplishments, and KPIs, analyzing deviations and proposing corrective actions.
Staff Briefings: Conduct daily briefings to discuss performance, safety, and operational matters, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
Performance Reviews and Training: Conduct performance reviews, manage staff attendance, and oversee staff training, contributing to the development of individual staff development plans.
Education: Minimum of 12 years schooling or equivalent.
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in warehouse and logistics operations, ideally within an Aviation/MRO environment.
At least 3 years of experience in supervising teams in a similar role.
Technical Knowledge: Proficient in office applications/systems, warehouse/inventory/ERP systems, and business reporting. Sound knowledge of aircraft/engineering maintenance data and airworthiness regulations is a plus.
Other: Engineering background or related qualifications preferred.
