Technical Product Owner Full Time

As a Technical Product Owner (TPO), you will be responsible for driving the evolution of our products, leading engineering teams, and ensuring our offerings meet business and customer needs. Key Responsibilities:

• Backlog Ownership & Prioritization:

  • Own and manage the product backlog across multiple teams, ensuring alignment with business goals and the broader product portfolio.

  • Define user stories, acceptance criteria, and maintain backlogs, ensuring they are refined and prioritized for each PI (Program Increment).

  • Ensure that technical debt and non-functional requirements are captured and prioritized across all sprints.

  • Capture and manage additional BAU (Business as Usual), ceremony, and spike activities within the team’s capacity.

• Collaboration & Leadership:

  • Work closely with the Product Management and Engineering teams to ensure alignment on product goals, timelines, and technical capabilities.

  • Act as the “voice of the customer,” advocating for business and user needs across all team backlogs.

  • Facilitate communication between the business, stakeholders, and the development teams to ensure product features are aligned with business objectives.

  • Contribute to key Product Management meetings, particularly during PI Planning sessions.

• Product Development & Innovation:

  • Own the lifecycle of designated technology products and applications, from concept to operations.

  • Collaborate with product managers to implement innovative solutions within the product roadmap.

  • Contribute to the identification and implementation of team-driven innovation ideas, ensuring these are communicated and leveraged across the organization.

• Metrics & Performance Tracking:

  • Define success metrics for product features and measure the performance of prioritized work.

  • Propose and prioritize future BAU iterations to improve product performance based on key metrics and feedback.

  • Analyze the impact of new features and product improvements, ensuring they drive value for customers.

• Community Building & Process Improvement:

  • Participate in building and growing a community of Product Owners within the organization, driving collaboration and identifying opportunities for improvement.

  • Contribute to the continual evolution of the Product Management practices and drive efficient, agile processes.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Operations Research, Marketing Science, Information Systems, e-Commerce, or a combination of industry certifications and 5+ years of relevant experience. CSPO, SAFe, or PSPO certification is preferred.

• Experience:

  • 2+ years of practical experience working as a Product Owner/Manager in a team-facing capacity, with a proven record of driving change and delivering results.

  • Experience working within a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), across multiple initiatives and teams (preferred, but not essential).

  • Knowledge of the cargo domain and experience with cargo systems (mandatory).

  • Demonstrated expertise in product management and technical domains relevant to the Emirates Group.

• Skills:

  • Strong communicator with the ability to build relationships with peers, stakeholders, and leadership.

  • Well-versed with tools for product management and software delivery.

  • Customer-centric mindset with an appetite for building value and solving customer problems.

  • Leadership skills with the ability to manage and empower teams effectively.
