Job Summary:

The General Accountant will be responsible for managing daily financial transactions, preparing financial reports, ensuring compliance with accounting regulations, and maintaining internal financial controls. Candidates with prior experience in the Facilities Management (FM) sector will be given preference.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all financial transactions
• Prepare journal entries, ledgers, and bank reconciliation statements
• Handle accounts payable and receivable
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities
• Prepare financial reports including MIS, cash flow forecasts, and balance sheets
• Monitor and analyze budget variances
• Ensure compliance with UAE VAT laws and relevant financial regulations
• Coordinate with external auditors and internal departments
• Support payroll and billing processes
• Implement and maintain internal accounting procedures and controls

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience
• Master’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
• Proficiency in accounting software (Tally, QuickBooks, ERP systems)
• Strong knowledge of accounting standards and IFRS
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
• High attention to detail and strong organizational abilities
• Experience in the Facilities Management industry is highly preferred
• Willingness to travel 100% as required
• Must be based in Dubai

Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree (Required)
• Master’s Degree (Preferred)

Experience:

• Accounting: 5 years (Required)
