Dwight School Dubai is seeking an experienced School Accountant to manage accounts payable and receivable, financial reporting, and accounting operations for the school. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent organizational skills, and experience in the educational sector.
Accounts Payable & Receivable: Oversee daily receivables and payables, ensuring timely reconciliation of outstanding fees and payments.
Reconciliation: Reconcile Accounts Receivable (AR) data with Trial Balances (TBs), ensuring accuracy in accounting ERP systems.
Invoice & Credit Note Management: Issue invoices (manual and system-generated), credit notes, and match receipts to invoices.
Communication with Clients: Address customer queries, disputes, and payment issues effectively.
ERP System Management: Work with the IT team for enhancements and improvements to the school’s ERP system.
Financial Reporting: Prepare financial analysis reports to support Management Information Systems (MIS) and decision-making.
Month-End & Year-End Activities: Assist with month-end closing, reconciliations, and general validations to maintain the integrity of books.
External Audits: Liaise with external auditors as needed.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with accounting principles, VAT, and regulatory standards.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Experience: 5-6 years of relevant experience in accounting, ideally in an educational setting.
Skills:
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
Proficiency in accounting software (I Finance, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Excel).
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Attention to detail and accuracy in financial data management.
Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
Compliance Knowledge: Understanding of VAT, CT, and regulatory compliance in financial reporting.
