Job Overview:

Safa British School is seeking a dynamic, organized, and enthusiastic School Librarian to become a valued member of our school community. If you have a love for literature and enjoy working with students to inspire their curiosity and creativity, this role could be for you!

Key Responsibilities:

• Library Management: Manage and maintain a vibrant, inclusive, and well-resourced school library that supports students’ academic and recreational needs.

• Support for Students & Staff: Help students and staff access a wide range of reading materials, research resources, and support in information literacy.

• Organize Events: Plan and organize events such as book weeks, author visits, and school-wide reading initiatives.

• Collaborate with Teachers: Work closely with teachers to promote literacy, research skills, and information literacy across the curriculum, enhancing students’ educational experiences.

Requirements:

• Love of Literature: A deep passion for reading and sharing literature with young learners.

• Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills to manage a school library efficiently.

• Welcoming Presence: A friendly, approachable attitude with a commitment to supporting all learners in their reading and learning journeys.

• Experience (Preferred): Experience in a library or educational setting is preferred but not essential.
