Pupil Support Assistant Full Time

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Learning Support Assistant to provide one-on-one support to a student within a school setting. The ideal candidate will be familiar with the IB curriculum, have a foundation in behavior-based interventions such as ABA, and be passionate about making a meaningful difference in a learner’s academic and personal growth.

Core Responsibilities

• Deliver daily support sessions within the school environment, preparing necessary learning materials in advance.
• Manage and maintain all learning tools, including datasheets, stimuli, and program folders.
• Accurately collect, graph, and evaluate learner data to measure progress.
• Provide clear and objective end-of-day progress updates.
• Implement individualized behavior and learning strategies provided by the Outreach Consultant.
• Uphold all professional and ethical guidelines in line with BACB standards (training and documentation will be provided).
• Participate in ongoing competency assessments and skills evaluations.
• Safeguard confidentiality regarding the learner’s progress and school-related matters.
• Focus exclusively on supporting the assigned student, without engaging in general classroom support duties.

What We’re Looking For

• Required Qualifications:
  Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Education, or a closely related field.
• Strong command of English, both spoken and written.
• Currently living in Dubai.
• Availability to start by mid-August.
• Preferred Experience & Certifications:
  Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification or prior experience in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).
• At least 3 years’ experience in a similar LSA role within an IB curriculum school.
• Ideal Skills and Traits:
  Deep understanding of IB curriculum and ability to assist across core academic subjects.
• Experience with evidence-based behavior support models.
• Adaptable, organized, and capable of working collaboratively with school teams.
• Attentive to detail in tracking observations and documenting student development.
• Empathetic, patient, and learner-focused.
