Planner – Sewage Treatment Plant Project Full Time

Project Overview

This role supports a major project involving the rehabilitation and extension of a sewage treatment plant (STP) in Dubai. The plant will be upgraded to handle 435,000 m³/day, combining:

• Rehabilitation of an existing 260,000 m³/day facility

• Expansion by an additional 175,000 m³/day capacity

• Repair and optimization of civil and operational infrastructure

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Resident Engineer in reviewing the contractor’s programme and schedule

• Monitor and report progress at all stages of the project

• Review manpower and equipment histograms (weekly/monthly)

• Develop and maintain progress tracking tools:

  • Planned vs actual charts (S-curves, histograms)

  • Progress reports and variance analysis

• Evaluate resource allocation (labour, equipment) and recommend corrective actions

• Forecast progress and flag deviations or delays

• Highlight concerns and suggest remedial actions to relevant project stakeholders

Qualifications & Skills

• Prior experience on sewage treatment plant projects in the UAE or GCC region is strongly preferred

• Familiarity with planning tools, forecasting methods, and schedule tracking

• Ability to interpret technical schedules, track resource use, and monitor deliverables

• Strong reporting and analytical skills
