We’re looking for a dedicated, motivated Part-Time Cook to join our kitchen team and help uphold the standards that make Shake Shack stand out.

Role Overview

As a Part-Time Cook, you will work under the supervision of the Kitchen Manager and collaborate with the front-of-house and kitchen teams to ensure every dish meets our brand’s taste, quality and presentation standards. Your focus will be on food preparation, cooking, and kitchen hygiene—all while maintaining pace in a fast-moving environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items according to Shake Shack’s recipes and standards, including burgers, grilled items, sides, and sauces.
• Monitor food quality at every stage and ensure proper portioning, garnish and presentation.
• Maintain a clean, organized and safe kitchen station—adhering to health and safety regulations, HACCP guidelines and local food safety laws.
• Manage stock levels for your station, rotate ingredients, label and date food items, and alert the Kitchen Manager when supplies are low.
• Support the team during busy periods by assisting with plating, packaging, and clearing kitchen equipment.
• Cooperate in daily opening and closing tasks such as cleaning grills, fryers, prep surfaces and storage areas; wipe down equipment, and dispose of waste appropriately.
• Communicate effectively with the kitchen and front-of-house teams to ensure smooth operations and timely service.

What We’re Looking For

• A minimum of 1–2 years’ experience in a commercial kitchen or fast-casual restaurant environment.
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays in line with peak service times.
• Strong sense of cleanliness, attention to detail and ability to follow recipes and procedures accurately.
• Good teamwork skills and a positive, can-do attitude with the ability to stay calm under pressure.
• Knowledge of food-safety protocols is preferred; relevant certification or willingness to obtain one is an advantage.
• A valid UAE work permit or eligibility to work in the UAE.
