Role Overview

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Part-Time Accounting Assistant to join our team. You will support our accounting and bookkeeping operations by assisting with journal entries, reconciliations, month-end processes and preparation of financial reports for clients. Working under the supervision of senior accountants, you will contribute to maintaining the accuracy and reliability of clients’ financial records while enjoying the flexibility of a part-time schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Record financial transactions including sales invoices, supplier bills, payments and receipts in the accounting system.
• Perform monthly bank and ledger reconciliations, prepare accruals/prepayments and ensure correct posting.
• Assist in preparing monthly trial balances and management reports under guidance.
• Support VAT, tax and audit compliance efforts by maintaining proper documentation and client files.
• Help uphold data integrity, internal controls and adherence to accounting standards where applicable.
• Handle ad-hoc bookkeeping and accounting tasks, including backlog clean-up, ledger updates and special projects for SMEs and startups.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with team members and clients to ensure timely and accurate information flow.

What We Are Looking For

• A diploma or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Prior experience in a bookkeeping or accounting support role is preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with accounting software and ability to quickly learn new systems.
• Strong analytical ability, attention to detail, organisational skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
• Ability to work independently within a part-time schedule and manage your workload efficiently.
• Excellent communication skills and a professional, collaborative attitude.
• Eligibility to work in the UAE.
