Murex Front Office Consultant (Business Analyst) Full Time

Project Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Murex FO Consultant to join the Global Markets IT FO Squad within a leading financial institution. This role focuses on supporting, enhancing, and implementing Murex front office functionalities for global trading operations. You will play a key role in managing system configuration, business analysis, and stakeholder coordination for large-scale financial products across multiple asset classes.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Analysis & Functional Design

• Analyze and document business/user requirements and translate them into detailed functional specifications.

• Engage with Global Markets teams and supporting functions to understand needs and propose suitable IT solutions.

• Lead discussions with stakeholders and vendors to align on requirements and implementation strategies.

System Configuration & Implementation

• Configure Murex FO modules in line with business requirements.

• Ensure optimal use of Murex features such as E-Tradepad, Livebook, Simulation, Market Data, P&L Notepad, RTPM, and Risk Matrices.

• Oversee implementation of linear and non-linear products in Murex v3.1.

Testing & Support

• Create test plans, develop test cases, and execute functional/system testing.

• Liaise with vendor support for issue resolution and bug fixes.

• Conduct user training, prepare training guides and support handover to operational teams.

Project Management Support

• Provide expert input in project planning and delivery.

• Assist with the transition of projects into BAU operations.

• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with audit and control processes.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Systems, Engineering, or Business Administration.

• 7–10 years of experience in Murex Front Office, with expertise in at least two asset classes (e.g. IR Derivatives, FX Derivatives, Equity Derivatives, Commodities, Structured Products).

• Strong knowledge of front-to-back Capital Markets processes including pricing, risk, trade booking, and settlements.

• Proven project delivery experience in banking or financial IT.

• Hands-on experience implementing and supporting Murex v3.1 FO capabilities.

• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

• Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Technical Skills (Must Have):

• Murex FO Modules: E-Tradepad, Simulation, Livebook, RTPM, Pre-Trade Workflow, Risk Matrices, P&L Notepad, Market Data, Blotters, FDI Templates

• Strong Capital Markets knowledge

• Business requirement documentation & process mapping

• Stakeholder engagement and vendor coordination
