Job Description

We are seeking a Kitchen Maintenance Technician to carry out essential repair and maintenance work within our kitchen facilities, ensuring all operations run smoothly and safely.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance tasks: plumbing, electrical, and minor carpentry
• Repair kitchen equipment, fixtures, and fittings
• Respond quickly to emergency repairs to minimize downtime
• Monitor and maintain ventilation, drainage, water supply, and waste systems
• Report and track malfunctioning appliances (ovens, refrigerators, dishwashers)
• Assist with pest control coordination and prevention measures
• Adhere to health & safety policies and kitchen hygiene standards
• Conduct inspections to identify hazards (e.g., loose fittings, wet floors)
• Ensure fire safety equipment is accessible and functional
• Assist in deep cleaning of kitchen exhaust systems, filters, and grease traps
• Support waste segregation and disposal in line with best practices
• Keep maintenance storage areas clean and organized
• Maintain tools and report supply shortages to the supervisor
• Coordinate with kitchen staff to minimize disruption during repairs
• Liaise with external technicians for specialized tasks
• Provide support during large event setups (equipment positioning, temporary fixtures)
