Leens Restaurant is seeking a creative and motivated Junior Sous Chef to join our talented kitchen team. The ideal candidate will be a creative professional who enjoys designing seasonal menus and meal concepts, ensuring that the kitchen operates efficiently, and providing leadership and guidance to the kitchen staff.
Menu Development: Create new dish options based on seasonal changes and customer demand, following the executive chef’s guidelines.
Meal Preparation & Planning: Assist in the preparation and planning of meal designs and overall kitchen operations.
Timely Kitchen Operations: Ensure all kitchen activities operate smoothly and within the specified timelines.
Customer Service: Resolve customer complaints and concerns personally, ensuring their satisfaction.
Inventory Management: Monitor and record inventory levels, and order supplies as needed.
Support Junior Staff: Provide support to junior kitchen employees, assisting with tasks such as line cooking, food preparation, and dish plating.
Training: Train new kitchen employees to meet restaurant and kitchen standards, ensuring adherence to processes.
Scheduling & Performance Evaluation: Create work schedules for kitchen staff and evaluate their performance.
Health & Safety Compliance: Adhere to sanitation regulations and safety standards to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Team Management: Manage the kitchen team in the absence of the Executive Chef.
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role. Previous experience in Dubai is advantageous.
Skills:
Strong knowledge of cooking methods, kitchen equipment, and best practices.
Good understanding of MS Office and restaurant software programs.
Teamwork-oriented with excellent leadership abilities.
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
