Housekeeping Shift Leader Full Time

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated Housekeeping Supervisor to lead and support our Housekeeping team. You will be responsible for daily inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces, ensuring adherence to Fairmont’s high standards of cleanliness and service. This is a leadership role that combines operational excellence with people management to deliver an exceptional guest experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct daily quality inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house in line with Fairmont standards
• Supervise and lead housekeeping colleagues to ensure high morale, efficiency, and productivity
• Assist in staffing, onboarding, training, and developing a high-performing housekeeping team
• Oversee daily operations: room assignments, shift briefings, evening service coordination, and special tasks
• Maintain colleague grooming and uniform standards
• Liaise with Front Office, Engineering, and other departments to ensure seamless room division operations
• Ensure rooms and public areas are cleaned, maintained, and prepared in a timely manner
• Monitor and replenish minibar items, process consumption charges, and resolve discrepancies
• Communicate operational concerns to management and take proactive action when needed
• Enforce Occupational Health and Safety and Hotel Security Procedures
• Adhere to Fairmont Code of Ethics, ensuring team compliance with all hotel policies
• Maintain key control protocols and uphold security standards

Qualifications:

• Guest-oriented with strong attention to detail and observational skills
• Proven leadership and team management capabilities
• Strong communication skills (verbal & written in English); additional language is an asset
• Highly organized and able to handle multiple tasks under pressure
• Proficient in planning, delegation, and decision-making
• Previous supervisory or training experience in housekeeping preferred
• Physically fit and capable of lifting/moving furniture and equipment
• Flexible with work hours and scheduling
