Hotel Commis Chef – Dubai Part Time

About the Role

Join The Ritz-Carlton Dubai as a Commis Chef, where you will be part of a world-class culinary team. Your role will involve preparing and cooking high-quality dishes while maintaining the brand’s Gold Standards of luxury service.

Key Responsibilities

• Food Preparation & Cooking:

  • Prepare ingredients by portioning, chopping, and storing food.

  • Wash, peel, and cut fresh fruits and vegetables.

  • Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients according to recipes.

  • Cook dishes following quality and presentation standards.

  • Prepare cold foods and salads.

• Kitchen Equipment & Hygiene:

  • Operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers.

  • Ensure proper cooking by testing food temperature and texture.

  • Maintain cleanliness of workstations, tools, knives, and equipment.

  • Monitor and maintain correct food storage temperatures.

• Safety & Compliance:

  • Follow company safety, security, and hygiene policies.

  • Report any maintenance issues, accidents, or unsafe conditions.

  • Maintain a clean and professional uniform and personal appearance.

• Teamwork & Communication:

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve team goals.

  • Communicate clearly and professionally with kitchen and service teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.).

• Experience: At least 1 year of related culinary experience.

• Skills:

  • Strong attention to detail in food preparation and presentation.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-end kitchen environment.

  • Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 25 lbs.
