Hot Line Cook Full Time

Position Summary:

Join the culinary team at Marriott Resort Palm Jumeirah and play a vital role in delivering high-quality food to our guests. As a Commis Chef, you will assist in food preparation and cooking, maintaining cleanliness and ensuring standards are met in every dish served.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare ingredients (washing, chopping, portioning, storing)
• Cook food according to recipes and presentation standards
• Operate kitchen equipment (ovens, grills, fryers, etc.)
• Monitor food quality and cooking times
• Assist with cold food preparation
• Set up and break down workstations
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness and hygiene
• Wash tools, utensils, and surfaces
• Follow safety, hygiene, and food handling standards
• Communicate clearly with team and leadership
• Support team goals and maintain a positive work environment

Qualifications:

• Education: High school diploma or GED preferred
• Experience: At least 1 year of related kitchen or culinary experience
• Certifications: Not required
• Supervisory Experience: Not required
• Working Conditions:
  Able to stand, walk, bend, twist, and lift up to 25 lbs for extended periods
• Comfortable working in a high-paced, team-focused kitchen environment
