We are looking for a dedicated and qualified Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to provide 1:1 and group support to a learner in a mainstream school environment. The ideal candidate will have a background in psychology, education, or a related field and possess experience working in a behavioral setting. Prior experience in ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) and RBT certification is highly preferred. The LSA will work under the supervision of a BCBA (Board-Certified Behavior Analyst) and will implement a verbal behavior program.
Conduct 1:1 and group teaching sessions with the learner, ensuring proper preparation and organization of teaching materials.
Maintain program materials throughout the learner’s sessions, including data collection, graphing, updating program books, and replenishing daily materials required for each session (e.g., stimuli, datasheets, program books).
Provide objective daily reports on the learner’s performance and progress to parents.
Adhere to professional and ethical guidelines as outlined in the BACB (Behavior Analyst Certification Board) Professional and Ethical Compliance Code for Behavior Analysts.
Consistently implement all recommendations provided by the OutReach Consultant, following their guidance and consultation.
Achieve passing scores on competency evaluations as part of ongoing professional development.
Maintain confidentiality of all learner information and avoid sharing any details with individuals outside of the Carbone Clinic.
Provide 1:1 instruction and assistance to the learner during school hours, ensuring exclusive focus on the assigned learner without distraction to others in the school setting.
Bachelor’s degree in Special Education, Psychology, or a related field is required.
3 years of experience as a Learning Support Assistant (LSA).
RBT certification preferred.
Experience working under the supervision of a BCBA is a plus.
Excellent proficiency in spoken and written English.
Ability to work collaboratively within a school setting while following detailed behavioral programs.
Training: Ongoing training and support will be provided by BCBA Supervisors to ensure continuous professional growth and program success.
