Position Overview:
As a Cook at Four Points by Sheraton, you’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality meals that exceed guest expectations. You’ll prepare a variety of dishes in accordance with recipes, standards, and presentation guidelines, contributing to a consistent and memorable dining experience. This position requires a passion for culinary arts, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and cook food items according to recipes, portion control, and presentation standards.

Pull food from freezer storage to thaw in the refrigerator as needed.

Monitor food quality and quantity during preparation and service.

Regulate oven, broiler, grill, and roaster temperatures for cooking precision.

Prepare cold foods, specialty items, and substitute meals as requested.

Maintain accurate food preparation and storage logs.

Inform Chef and F&B staff of specials, out-of-stock items, and surplus food.

Ensure kitchen cleanliness and food safety in accordance with health standards.

Assist with employee training, scheduling, and performance feedback as needed.

Foster teamwork and maintain a professional and supportive work atmosphere.
Physical & Operational Requirements:

Ability to lift, carry, push, pull objects up to 25 lbs without assistance.

Must be able to stand, walk, bend, twist, and reach for extended periods.

Comply with all safety, hygiene, and uniform standards.

Communicate clearly and respectfully with guests and team members.
Preferred Qualifications:

Technical, Trade, or Vocational School Degree in Culinary Arts or related field.

Minimum 3 years of relevant cooking experience in a hotel or restaurant.

No supervisory experience required, but leadership potential is desirable.

Food safety and kitchen sanitation knowledge.
