Position Summary:
As a Cook at Marriott Hotel Al Jaddaf, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals that meet company and brand standards. Your role will include cooking, assisting in kitchen operations, and ensuring food safety and cleanliness.
Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and presentation standards

Handle cold food preparation and assist with daily specials

Regulate cooking equipment including ovens, grills, and broilers

Ensure proper portion control, food presentation, and garnishing
-
Monitor food quality and quantity throughout preparation

Maintain food temperature and sanitation logs

Communicate with chefs and food service staff regarding specials and shortages
-
Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines

Assist management with basic training, scheduling, and coaching

Maintain cleanliness and a professional appearance

Ensure equipment and work areas are clean and maintained

Report safety hazards, equipment issues, or accidents to management
Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods

Reach overhead and below the knees, bend, twist, pull, and stoop

Move or lift objects up to 25 pounds without assistance
Preferred Qualifications:

Education: Degree from a Technical, Trade, or Vocational School (preferred)

Experience: Minimum 3 years of related culinary experience
