Finance Ledger Coordinator Full Time

Job Description:

The GL Accountant will play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely accounting processes for the company, particularly focusing on reconciliation, payroll processing, utility payments, and ERP development. The role requires strong analytical skills and experience in handling the general ledger for an FMCG company.

Key Responsibilities:

• Staff Reconciliation:

  • Perform monthly reconciliation of the number of staff in the system versus the actual record.

• Payroll Processing:

  • Prepare payroll entries with Division, Department, and Employee codes for FM approval.

  • Ensure payroll entries are processed accurately and on time.

  • Prepare the monthly payroll high-level summary and reconciliation for GL Supervisor / FM and CFO approvals.

• Utility Payment Management:

  • Ensure utility payments (Water & Electricity, Telecommunications Bills, Salik Replenishment) are paid on time.

  • Prepare monthly consumption analysis for utility expenses such as Water and Electricity and highlight reasons for any abnormal spending or overcharges.

• ERP Development:

  • Develop knowledge of the ERP system and become the superuser of all finance modules.

  • Work to reduce manual processes by optimizing ERP functionalities.

• General Ledger and Reconciliations:

  • Handle the general ledger and ensure timely reconciliations and period-end closing processes in line with accounting standards.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Gender: Male

• Age: 40 years old or below

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting (preferred)

• Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the UAE, specifically in the FMCG industry.

  • Strong background as a General Ledger Accountant with proficiency in financial reconciliations and period-end closing processes.

  • Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP, ORACLE) and strong Excel skills.

  • Knowledge of IFRS standards is required.
