Fabric Care Specialist Full Time

Job Summary:

Join Marriott’s housekeeping team to perform tailoring and laundry duties. This includes mending, repairing, and altering garments for guests and staff, distributing clean uniforms, and ensuring proper record-keeping and garment care according to brand standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Mend, repair, and alter uniforms and guest clothing using sewing machines or hand stitching.
• Distribute and record clean uniforms; track damaged items.
• Coordinate with vendors or departments for repairs and replacements.
• Document laundry requests and maintain garment tracking logs.
• Inspect uniforms for quality and ensure replacements are issued as needed.
• Maintain professionalism and adhere to Marriott’s grooming and safety standards.
• Collaborate with the team and support guests and staff courteously.
• Assist individuals with disabilities and ensure a welcoming experience for all.

Requirements:

• Education: No formal diploma required.
• Experience: Minimum 1 year in tailoring or related work.

• Skills:

• Ability to use sewing machines and hand stitching tools
• Detail-oriented and organized
• Able to lift objects up to 10 lbs
• Comfortable standing or walking for long periods
