Executive Pastry Chef – Luxury Hospitality (15749) Full Time

Role Overview:

Join One&Only The Palm, an exclusive and intimate beachfront resort, as the Executive Pastry Chef and be part of an exciting journey to create memorable experiences for our guests. As part of the culinary team, you will lead and oversee the pastry and bakery kitchens, ensuring consistent delivery of high-quality, imaginative creations that delight guests and elevate their experience at the resort.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leadership: Manage, lead, and motivate a team of pastry chefs and kitchen staff, ensuring the highest standards of culinary excellence.

• Operational Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the pastry and bakery departments, ensuring consistency, quality, and profitability.

• Menu Development: Create innovative pastry and dessert menus that reflect the resort’s luxury standards while delighting guests with unique and creative options.

• Guest Satisfaction: Ensure that all pastry and dessert offerings exceed guest expectations in terms of both quality and presentation.

• Collaboration: Work closely with other culinary leaders to coordinate kitchen activities and collaborate on creating dining experiences for guests.

• Cost Control: Ensure proper inventory management, controlling costs while maintaining quality standards and adhering to budget guidelines.

• Training and Development: Mentor and train junior chefs, helping them improve their skills and grow within the team.

Requirements:

• Experience: A minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in a similar Executive Pastry Chef position at luxury resorts or five-star hotels.

• Skills: Expertise in all aspects of pastry, including cake decoration, bread making, and dessert presentation.

• Leadership: Proven ability to lead, supervise, and motivate a diverse team, with a focus on quality and consistency.

• Languages: Fluent in spoken and written English; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.

• Personal Attributes: Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, passion for pastry, and a positive, energetic approach to the role.
