“Engineering & Maintenance Tech – Sheraton Dubai” Part Time

Sheraton Dubai Creek Hotel & Towers, part of Marriott International, is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our engineering team. The role will involve responding to guest repair requests, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring all tools and equipment are operating optimally. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in general maintenance, along with a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Position Type:
Full-Time, Non-Management

Key Responsibilities:

• Respond promptly to guest repair requests and ensure issues are resolved efficiently.

• Communicate with guests and other team members to address maintenance concerns.

• Perform preventive maintenance tasks on kitchen, mechanical, and other hotel equipment, including cleaning and lubrication.

• Visually inspect tools, equipment, and machines, identifying and resolving any issues.

• Maintain inventory and requisition parts and supplies as needed.

• Operate and maintain shut-off valves and utility shut-offs for all building equipment.

• Perform various tasks including air conditioning, refrigeration, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and kitchen equipment repairs.

• Replace light bulbs, A/C filters, and perform minor repairs such as drywall or wood trim fixes.

• Test, troubleshoot, and repair plumbing, electrical components, and other guestroom items.

• Follow Lockout/Tagout safety protocols before performing any maintenance work.

• Manage landscaping repairs, including internal and external landscaping, as well as sprinkler systems.

• Assist with general housekeeping and engineering-related inventory tasks.

• Use computer systems to input air handler schedules and adjust temperatures as needed.

• Maintain a professional appearance and uniform at all times.

• Ensure compliance with all company safety and security policies and procedures.

• Move, lift, and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds, with assistance for heavier objects.

• Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Education: High school diploma or G.E.D equivalent.

• Related Work Experience: Some experience in general maintenance, exterior and interior surface preparation, and painting.

• Experience in hotel engineering or maintenance is a plus.

• Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience required.

Required Qualifications:

• License or Certification: Valid Driver’s License.
