EMV Test Engineer Full Time

Role Summary:

Virtusa is seeking an experienced Cards Test Engineer with a strong background in the banking domain to lead and execute testing for card-related systems including debit and covered cards, ATM, POS, Switch, and core banking integrations. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in API testing, card lifecycle management, and integration testing within Agile environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and execute test plans, test cases, and scripts for card issuance and acquiring systems.
• Conduct functional, regression, and integration testing for card components and surrounding systems.
• Manage integration testing across 40–50 business applications.
• Validate identity lifecycle operations: provisioning, de-provisioning, access review, and role-based access.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams: developers, business analysts, and architects.
• Document and track defects; create daily and summary testing reports (dashboards, closure reports).
• Ensure security and compliance with regulatory and internal standards.
• Support patch testing (OS and DB) and maintain testing infrastructure and assets.
• Continuously improve testing practices and methodologies.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to team improvements.
• Maintain inventory of testing hardware/software, databases, and environments.

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in software testing within the banking domain.
• 3+ years specific experience with card systems (Debit, Covered), ATM, POS, Switches, Core Banking.
• Strong understanding of card lifecycle and architecture.
• Proven skills in API integration testing (REST/SOAP).
• Familiarity with tools such as Postman, SOAP UI, UFT, Selenium is a plus.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Experience with identity and access management testing is advantageous.
• Exposure to Agile/Scrum environments.

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have):

• Functional automation testing experience.
• Experience in regulatory and security compliance testing.
• Familiarity with ADIB systems or similar banking ecosystems is a bonus.
