Elementary Learning Assistant Full Time

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and exceptional Educational Assistant to support teachers in our Elementary Division. The successful candidate will assist with a range of classroom tasks and may be asked to supervise small groups or full classes when needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support reading, literacy, and numeracy activities
• Run small group learning sessions, both indoors and outdoors
• Prepare and organize classroom materials and resources
• Supervise students during short teacher absences or emergency cover
• Foster a supportive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
• Assist with phonics instruction and general curriculum support

Qualifications & Experience:

• Previous experience working with children or in a teaching assistant role (preferred)
• Attested college degree or diploma
• Familiarity with positive behavior management strategies
• Understanding of curriculum elements including literacy and numeracy
• Competent in using IT tools for educational support
