Position Overview:

The Culinary Supervisor will oversee and coordinate kitchen operations, ensuring that food preparation and presentation meet hotel standards. This includes supervising staff, ensuring quality and safety compliance, and assisting with training and daily kitchen functions.

Key Responsibilities:

Food Preparation & Presentation

• Supervise cooks and kitchen staff to ensure consistency and efficiency.
• Maintain high standards of food presentation and garnishing.
• Ensure proper portion control and item substitution when required.
• Communicate menu changes or out-of-stock items to service staff.
• Prepare and assist with special meals and events.
• Stock & Safety Management
• Monitor kitchen inventory and restock supplies as necessary.
• Maintain accurate food safety logs and ensure compliance with health regulations.
• Alert management to any product quality issues or safety hazards.
• Team Leadership
• Assist with hiring, training, scheduling, and evaluating kitchen staff.
• Motivate and coach employees to meet service and safety standards.
• Foster a positive team environment through effective communication and leadership.
• Guest and Team Interaction
• Respond professionally to guest requests and service needs.
• Maintain positive relationships with colleagues and support overall team goals.
• Communicate clearly and professionally at all times.
• Physical Requirements
• Able to stand, walk, or sit for long periods.
• Capable of lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling items up to 25 pounds without assistance.
• Comfortable with frequent bending, twisting, and reaching.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Education: Degree or certification from a technical, trade, or vocational school in culinary arts.
• Experience:
• 4–6 years of relevant culinary experience.
• Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in a professional kitchen.
• Licenses/Certifications: Not required but preferred if relevant.
