We are seeking a Junior Sous Chef to join our dynamic and creative kitchen team. The ideal candidate is a motivated, creative professional passionate about food, and is excited to contribute to creating seasonal menus and innovative meal designs. You will support the Executive Chef in various kitchen duties and take charge when the Executive Chef is absent.
Menu Development: Create new dishes based on seasonal changes and customer demand under the guidance of the Executive Chef.
Meal Planning & Design: Assist with meal design and preparation.
Timely Kitchen Operations: Ensure all kitchen activities operate efficiently and on time.
Customer Service: Personally address and resolve customer complaints and concerns.
Inventory Management: Monitor and record kitchen inventory, and order new supplies when necessary.
Support Team Members: Assist junior kitchen employees with line cooking, food preparation, and plating.
Training & Development: Train new kitchen staff to meet restaurant and kitchen standards.
Scheduling: Create work schedules for kitchen staff and evaluate their performance.
Sanitation & Safety Compliance: Ensure adherence to sanitation and safety regulations.
Team Leadership: Manage the kitchen team in the absence of the Executive Chef.
Experience: Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role (Dubai experience is beneficial).
Knowledge: Strong understanding of cooking methods, kitchen equipment, and best practices.
Skills: Proficiency in MS Office and restaurant software programs.
Teamwork & Leadership: Outstanding leadership abilities with a strong teamwork orientation.
Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
From AED 1.00 per year (Note: Further salary details may be provided upon interview or request).
