Job Summary – Boldpoints

• Bookkeeping & Entries: Record daily transactions including invoices, receipts, payments, and journal vouchers.
• Ledger Maintenance: Manage the general ledger and ensure proper classification of accounts.
• Financial Statements: Prepare monthly and annual income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
• Reconciliation: Conduct bank, supplier, and customer reconciliations to detect inconsistencies.
• Audit Coordination: Develop working schedules and provide documentation to senior auditors.
• VAT Tasks: Verify VAT invoices and assist in the preparation of VAT returns.
• Client Support: Communicate with clients to collect data and respond to accounting queries.

Role Responsibilities

The Accountant will take ownership of end-to-end accounting functions for assigned clients. The professional will review supporting documents before system entry to safeguard correctness. A major duty is the preparation of periodic financial reports that present a clear picture of revenue, expenses, assets, and liabilities. The employee will compare bank statements with cash books and resolve unidentified differences. During audit engagements, the Accountant will organize files, confirmations, and analyses required by the audit team. VAT compliance under UAE law will be handled carefully through verification of input and output tax. The Accountant will assist in payroll calculations, gratuity estimates, and petty cash supervision. CDA encourages the Accountant to suggest improvements that enhance efficiency and reduce manual errors. Timely coordination with clients and internal departments is essential to meet deadlines.

Qualifications & Skills – Boldpoints

• A bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
• ACCA, CPA, or CA certification will be preferred.
• At least 2 years of accounting experience in the UAE or an audit firm.
• Sound understanding of IFRS and UAE VAT rules.
