BOH Supervisor Full Time

Position Summary:

The Culinary Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily kitchen operations and supporting the culinary team to ensure high-quality food preparation and presentation. This includes supervising staff, maintaining food standards, and coordinating kitchen activities to deliver an exceptional dining experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff and cooks.
• Monitor food preparation quality, quantity, and presentation standards.
• Prepare special meals and substitute items as needed.
• Ensure proper portion control and food garnishing.
• Communicate menu specials and shortages to service staff.
• Monitor inventory and stock levels of food and kitchen supplies.
• Maintain records related to food safety and kitchen logs.
• Assist in hiring, training, scheduling, and evaluating kitchen employees.
• Enforce safety and sanitation procedures in line with company standards.
• Address and respond to guest service needs in a professional manner.
• Promote teamwork and support a positive work environment.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, walk, and move for extended periods.
• Must be able to bend, twist, reach overhead and below the knees.
• Capable of lifting or moving objects up to 25 pounds without assistance.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Education: Degree from a Technical, Trade, or Vocational School (Culinary focus preferred).
• Experience: 4 to 6 years of relevant work experience.
• Supervisory Experience: At least 2 years in a leadership role within a kitchen setting.
• Licenses/Certifications: None required.
