Job Overview

CBD is seeking an experienced Business Intelligence Technical Lead to head its BI technical team. The role involves end-to-end responsibility for the design, development, and delivery of enterprise data warehouse solutions, ETL processes, and actionable reporting tools. The ideal candidate will bring leadership, hands-on development experience, and the ability to translate business needs into scalable data solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Team & Delivery Management
  Lead the BI technical team and manage daily operations to ensure timely, high-quality reporting deliverables.
• Oversee full lifecycle of BI/reporting projects from requirements gathering to implementation and support.
• Supervise hiring, performance reviews, and staff development.
• BI & Data Engineering
  Develop and optimize data warehouses and ETL pipelines.
• Integrate and transform data from various operational systems.
• Work directly with users to build custom dashboards and BI reports tailored to business decisions.
• Stakeholder Collaboration
  Collaborate with cross-functional business and tech teams to gather requirements.
• Ensure data accuracy, security, and accessibility across the organization.
• Act as a BI advisor to senior stakeholders and department leads.
• Reporting & Insights
  Deliver automated and visual reporting tools that drive business decisions.
• Maintain consistent, user-friendly formats across custom reports.
• Continuously improve BI processes based on stakeholder feedback.

Qualifications & Skills

• Education
  Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Analytics, or a related field.
• Technical Expertise
  Strong experience with BI architecture, ETL tools, and reporting systems (preferably Business Objects).
• Expert in SQL and data modeling concepts such as Star Schema and Dimensional Modeling.
• Hands-on with database platforms: Sybase, MS SQL Server, Oracle, DB2, and Informix.
• Solid understanding of OLAP technologies, data visualization, and information security practices.
• Experience
  Proven experience in leading BI or data engineering teams within banking or large enterprises.
• Strong ability to work under pressure and manage tight deadlines.
• Experience coordinating across teams to extend subject areas and ensure enterprise data flow.
• Soft Skills
  Excellent communication skills, especially when engaging with C-level executives.
• Strong analytical thinking and a proactive, problem-solving attitude.
