Role Overview
The Demi Chef de Partie – Bakery will assist the Chef de Partie in daily bakery operations, producing high-quality pastries, breads, and desserts, while maintaining excellent standards of food safety, presentation, and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities

Assist in bakery prep and daily operations

Set up and break down workstations for meal periods

Ensure portion control and consistent quality of baked goods

Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new bakery items

Participate in food tastings and quality control

Train and mentor junior kitchen staff

Maintain compliance with hygiene and safety standards

Manage inventory and complete daily requisitions

Support food displays and buffet setups

Assist in menu planning and promotions

Act as expediter during busy meal times

Keep the work environment clean and organized

Attend chef meetings as required
Qualifications & Skills

Diploma in Culinary Arts, Baking and Pastry, or equivalent
-
Minimum 2 years’ experience as Demi Chef de Partie or similar role, preferably in 5-star hotels

Strong bakery and pastry skills

Good knowledge of food safety/hygiene

Excellent communication skills in English

Ability to work efficiently under pressure and in a team

Creativity and innovation in bakery items

Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends/holidays

Physical stamina for standing long hours and lifting
