Architect – Dewan Architects + Engineers, Dubai Full Time

Dewan Architects + Engineers is seeking a talented and driven Architect to join our Dubai team and contribute to outstanding architectural design projects across commercial, residential and hospitality sectors. This role calls for a creative problem-solver who thrives in a dynamic, multicultural studio environment and is eager to help bring ambitious concepts to life in one of the region’s most vibrant design hubs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and develop architectural design phases from schematic through to construction documentation, ensuring the design vision is maintained and best industry practices are applied.
• Collaborate closely with internal multidisciplinary teams (interiors, landscape, MEP, structural) to coordinate integrated solutions, ensuring design feasibility, quality, budget and timeline alignment.
• Create and review drawings, 3D models and visualisations; prepare design presentations, material boards, specification documents and BIM models; maintain accurate project documentation.
• Interface with clients, consultants, contractors and regulatory authorities as required, facilitating design reviews and approvals and ensuring project objectives and standards are met.
• Mentor junior team members and provide guidance to less experienced staff, fostering a collaborative studio culture that prioritises innovation, sustainability and design excellence.
• Monitor project progress and support site visits to respond to design queries, verify design intent on site, and address any emerging architectural issues during construction.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture or equivalent accredited qualification.
• Minimum 3-5 years of professional experience within an architectural practice, ideally in the Middle East or on international projects.
• Strong design sensibility with a portfolio demonstrating high-quality architecture, attention to detail and contemporary approaches to built form.
• Proficient with Revit/BIM, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite and MS Office; ability to generate responsive 3D visualisations and drawings.
• Excellent communication skills; able to engage effectively with team, clients and stakeholders; confident in presenting design ideas.
• Self-motivated, accountable and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment with multiple concurrent projects; proficient at managing time and priorities.
