Arabic Academic Assistant Full Time

About the Role

Dubai British School Emirates Hills is seeking a passionate and committed Arabic A Learning Assistant to join its expanding team for the 2025 academic year. As part of a growing and dynamic international school community, you will contribute to the development of Arabic language skills for our Early Years and primary learners, supporting classroom teaching and student engagement in line with the UAE’s curriculum requirements.

You will work alongside experienced educators and be part of a supportive team that values every child’s potential and promotes inclusive and engaging education. The position is ideal for someone who is enthusiastic, caring, and capable of inspiring young learners in both Arabic and English.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of Arabic A language instruction under the direction of the Arabic teacher.
• Assist with the preparation of class materials and lesson activities.
• Work with individual students or small groups to reinforce learning objectives.
• Support students’ Arabic language development through reading, writing, speaking, and listening activities.
• Monitor student progress and report observations to the teaching staff.
• Maintain a safe and supportive classroom environment.
• Collaborate with teaching and administrative staff to contribute to a positive learning environment.
• Participate in school events, training, and meetings as required.

Candidate Profile

We are looking for someone who:

• Has excellent communication skills in both Arabic and English.
• Holds a minimum of an attested high school certificate (in compliance with KHDA regulations). A bachelor’s degree is strongly preferred.
• Has experience working in Early Years or primary education, ideally within a bilingual or international school setting.
• Demonstrates a warm, supportive, and proactive approach to working with young children.
• Possesses strong organisational skills and the ability to follow instructions effectively.
• Is committed to safeguarding and promoting student welfare.
• Can work collaboratively as part of a multicultural team.
