Finance Officer – CDA Accounting Dubai Full Time

Position Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Finance Officer to join our finance department. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting budgeting and forecasting processes, performing financial analysis and ensuring compliance with UAE accounting standards and tax/VAT regulations. You will collaborate closely with internal teams and external auditors to strengthen control, streamline operations and deliver insights that drive strategic decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare, review and reconcile monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and alignment with IFRS and UAE regulatory requirements.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting and variance-analysis exercises; provide commentary on significant deviations and suggest actionable improvements.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, maintain general ledger integrity, coordinate month-end and year-end close activities.
• Support VAT and tax-related filings (including registration, returns, documentation) and liaise with external advisors and regulatory authorities.
• Monitor cash flow, analyse working capital and support senior management with liquidity planning and fund-optimisation strategies.
• Conduct financial analysis to identify cost-savings, operational efficiencies and revenue-enhancement opportunities; prepare dashboards and management reports.
• Assist in audits (internal & external) by providing schedules, supporting documentation and responding to queries raised by auditors.
• Maintain and strengthen internal control frameworks, recommend process improvements, ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
• Keep abreast of changes in UAE financial regulations, accounting standards and tax/VAT compliance; implement updates as required.

Qualifications & Skills:

• “A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline is required, with professional certifications such as CPA, ACCA, or CMA considered an advantage.”
• 2-5 years’ post-qualification experience in a finance or accounting role, ideally within an audit or professional services firm in the UAE.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, UAE VAT and corporate tax regulations, general ledger systems and financial reporting.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and numerical skills with keen attention to detail.
• Proficiency in financial modelling, Excel (including pivot tables, v-lookups) and accounting software.
• Effective communicator (verbal & written), comfortable presenting financial information to non-finance stakeholders.
• Self-starter with the ability to work under pressure, manage deadlines and prioritise multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• High integrity, professional demeanour and the initiative to support continuous improvement in financial operations.
