Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced and proactive Financial Controller to oversee finance operations for Lockton MENA Limited in DIFC and support expansion into Saudi Arabia with Lockton Reinsurance Brokers KSA. The ideal candidate will bring a balance of technical financial expertise and commercial insight to help drive accurate reporting, regulatory compliance, and business performance in a fast-paced, regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities

• 1. Financial Operations & Reporting
  Lead the month-end close for Lockton MENA and support future operations in KSA.
• Ensure accurate reporting under UK GAAP and IFRS.
• Manage general ledger activities including reconciliations, intercompany entries, and accruals.
• Supervise the reconciliation and proper handling of Client Money Accounts (CMA).
• 2. Regulatory Compliance
  Prepare DFSA financial returns for DIFC operations.
• Collaborate with KSA finance teams and advisors to meet ZATCA and Insurance Authority requirements.
• Monitor liquidity and capital adequacy in line with DIFC and KSA rules.
• 3. Broking Finance Oversight (IBA)
  Oversee client and insurer account management, aged receivables, and settlements.
• Ensure segregation of client and operational funds.
• Set up and optimize the IBA framework for the KSA branch.
• 4. Commercial Finance Support
  Assist the Regional Financial Controller with budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis.
• Evaluate business unit KPIs, revenue streams, and cost controls.
• Provide financial input for strategic decisions including hiring, expansions, and system rollouts.
• 5. Business Partnering
  Act as a financial liaison to broking, compliance, and operational teams in both UAE and KSA.
• Advise on pricing strategies and contract terms.
• Support intercompany governance and special projects across MENA.
• 6. Audit, Tax & Board Reporting
  Manage annual audits and statutory reports for UAE; support KSA audits as needed.
• Liaise with external advisors on VAT, corporate tax, and transfer pricing matters.
• Prepare financial data for board presentations and management reporting.
• 7. Leadership & Process Improvement
  Mentor and develop the finance and IBA teams.
• Introduce enhancements to reporting processes, systems, and internal controls.
• Ensure financial integrity and alignment with group policies across both jurisdictions.
• Ideal Candidate Profile
  Education & Certification
  Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Professional qualification (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CPA)
• Experience
  Minimum 6 years in financial control or insurance finance, ideally in reinsurance
• Hands-on experience with DFSA regulations and Client Money management
• Exposure to KSA financial operations and VAT requirements is a plus
• Skills
  In-depth knowledge of accounting standards (UK GAAP, IFRS)
• Familiar with regulatory frameworks in DIFC and KSA
• Strong analytical and commercial skills
• Proficient in ERP and finance systems (e.g., Oracle, Praktora)
• Effective communicator with leadership capabilities
• High attention to detail, self-motivated, and deadline-oriented
