Job Purpose:

As part of this, we are seeking a Vice President (VP) for Emirates Engine Maintenance Centre (EEMC) to oversee the strategic business growth and leadership of the Engine Maintenance Centre and Test Cell, responsible for the maintenance and overhaul of all Emirates fleet engines in-house. The VP will create a framework for running the EEMC profit center, ensuring safety, cost-effectiveness, and efficiency, while achieving strategic growth through organic business development and partnerships.
Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Strategy:
Lead the development of a business plan with clear KPIs, performance metrics, and risk management strategies. Provide leadership and clear direction to all teams within EEMC to support growth, profitability, and operational efficiency. -
Vendor & Customer Negotiations:
Lead negotiations with vendors, suppliers, and third-party customers related to revenue agreements, engine performance, repair, and warranty. Build and maintain strong relationships with key external partners and OEMs. -
Business Growth & Expansion:
Explore opportunities for business growth, including external collaborations, joint ventures, and partnerships with OEMs. Monitor market trends in engineering, technology, and financial aspects to identify and capitalize on growth opportunities. -
Operational Excellence:
Continuously improve the efficiency, productivity, and effectiveness of the engine repair and maintenance processes. Design and develop an organizational structure that supports long-term strategies and fosters collaboration across departments. -
Cost & Financial Management:
Oversee the procurement processes, ensuring cost control and best practices for accounting and financial management. Work with finance to introduce automated costing systems to track resource utilization. -
Safety & Compliance:
Ensure all operations are conducted in compliance with relevant regulatory standards and Emirates policies. Establish and promote a safe and culturally conducive environment in all engine maintenance and overhaul activities, including the Safety Management System (SMS). -
Training & Development:
Ensure all staff are fully trained on engine overhaul activities, including new capabilities and certifications through approved organizations or OEMs. Promote continuous professional development.
Qualifications & Experience:

Educational Requirements:

Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent) in engineering or a related field.

GCAA or ICAO Type II License required.

Experience:

Minimum 12+ years of experience in engineering, with substantial experience in a senior leadership role within the aviation maintenance industry.

Proven expertise in business restructuring, change management, and headcount optimization.

Experience in leading teams to achieve high operational performance while motivating staff.
